In this project the objective was to create seven compositions communicating the meaning of the 7 Heavenly Virtues. Each composition had its own requirements but each composition was created with digitally and/or analogue technique. The project was digitally printed on tabloid size newspaper by the Newspaper Club on 55gsm paper stock.
Each requirement for the Virtues:
Chastity: photographed analogue collage
Temperance: letterform only, type as an image, may use a word, color or black and white
Charity: personal full-color photograph(s), incorporating a model
Diligence: personal photograph(s), duotone, with selective color/white
Patience: photographed object(s), color or black and white
Kindness: found photograph(s) (color or black and white), and hand-lettered text (raster or vector) photographed
Humility: constructed image-all elements (and word)- in a single photograph

I choose this image of water for the front cover because I felt that it embodied the feelings of love and purity that the 7 heavenly virtues are about.
This composition representing chastity, was created with the concept of the woman embracing and accepting this virtue of purity instead of the virtue binding her.
For this composition of Temperance, I choose to the word Balance because when one practices moderation with food and alcohol, then balance is achieved through their moderation. I wanted to display the chaos that happens when one doesn't practice temperance, so I chose to break up the word balance and have the background be the letters scattered all over the place. To show the true meaning of the word balance, I then chose to take the word balance and make it big, bold, and have the letters tighter together and place that in the center.
In the composition of humility, I choose to communicate the meaning of the virtue with the concept of daisy’s with potato hearts as their roots to represent the difference of being prideful and being humble. The three daisy's on the left are to represent what not being humble looks like and the daisy on the right is to show humility.
